The responsibility of NEET exam is on the National Testing Agency, so in 2025 also the National Testing Agency will conduct the NEET exam. If the year also NEET exam is likely to be held in May. The full form of NEET 2025 is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.
NEET exam is conducted at two levels – NEET UG and NEET PG. After passing 12th, you can give NEET UG exam. Those who are successful in this get admission in MBBS, BDS and other medical courses. At the same time, after MBBS, you can give NEET PG exam.
NEET 2025 Exam Date – When will the NEET exam be held in 2025?
NTA, National Testing Agency has not yet released the schedule of NEET exam. But it is believed that the NTA NEET UG exam will be held in the first week of May. Its possible schedule can be released by the end of this year. Candidates who failed in NEET UG exam this year can also give NEET UG exam next year. It is believed that like every year, lakhs of youth will give NEET UG exam in 2025.
The application form for NEET UG 2025 exam will be made available on the official website nta.nic.in. Application forms will be filled online only. NEET 2025 Eligibility Criteria – Who can appear for NEET UG exam?
There is no possibility of any change in NEET 2025 eligibility criteria. It was changed only last year. Know who can appear for NEET UG exam in the year 2025-
1) The candidate must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English subjects.
2) It is necessary for the general category candidate to score 50% in 12th, 45% for General-PWD and 40% for reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, Reserved PWD).
3) At the time of admission to the medical college or by December 31, 2025, the age of the candidate should be up to 17 years. Accordingly, the date of birth of the candidate should be at least 31 December 2008. No maximum age limit has been fixed for this.
4) It is mandatory for Indian citizens wishing to study MBBS / BDS from a foreign medical college to qualify NEET 2025.
5) Students who studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and English subjects as additional subjects in 12th can also appear for the NEET exam. Students who pass out from open school can also appear for the NEET exam.
Students should take care of the dress code 2025
Students appearing for NEET UG exam should note that NTA has implemented a dress code in its guidelines and this dress code has to be followed. The guideline states that candidates should wear comfortable clothes and avoid long-sleeved clothes. Shoes are also prohibited in the guidelines. Candidates going for the exam are advised to wear slippers or sandals. Candidates appearing for the paper with traditional attire should report to the exam centers by 12:30 pm.
Other important information of NTA Guidelines 2025
The last time to enter the exam center will be 1:30 pm. After this, candidates will not get entry to the center. No prohibited items will be allowed to be carried to the exam center. You will have to go through security checking before entering the exam center.
No bio-break will be allowed during the first one hour after the commencement of the exam and the last half hour of the exam. NTA said that apart from biometric attendance and search at the entry, candidates will be searched at the entry from the bio-break or toilet break, as well as biometric attendance will be taken again.
24 transgender candidates have also registered for the NEET UG exam. NEET UG exam will be based on pen-paper mode. The duration of the NEET exam paper will be three hours. Candidates can go inside the exam center with admit card, ID card, transparent water bottle.
