While working as a bus conductor, Rajinikanth became friends with Nirmala, a medical student from Bangalore, after some time both of them started liking each other and then they fell in love with each other. Similarly, one day Rajinikanth invited his girlfriend to watch the play.

Seeing Rajinikanth’s strong acting, his girlfriend said – you should become a hero. Rajinikanth himself was also interested in learning acting, so one day his girlfriend Nirmala filled Rajinikanth’s form for admission in Madras Film Institute, due to which Rajinikanth got admission.

Rajini’s poor family was against his decision, but when friend and co-worker Raj Bahadur helped him financially, Rajinikanth took admission here. One day, during the acting course, famous South director K. Balachander noticed Rajinikanth.

Balachander told him that if he learns Tamil language, he will take him in his film. Rajinikanth developed a strong hold over the Tamil language in a few days and he got the film Apoorva Raangagal (1975).

25-year-old Rajinikanth played a side role in the film with actor Kamal Haasan and Srividya, however, he caught everyone’s attention with his talent in his very first film.

This film won 3 National Awards. In his early career, Rajinikanth played the role of a villain in films like Katha Sangama, Aavargal, Balu Jenu, 16 Vayadhinili.

After doing small roles in many films, he got a big role in the 1976 film Moondru Mudichu. Kamal Haasan was in the lead role in the film and this was the film in which 13-year-old Sridevi was seen as the lead for the first time.
