According to religious texts, Kaliyug started in 3102 BC. As soon as Shri Krishna left the earth, the first phase of Kaliyug started. According to the Puranas, the history of Kaliyug on earth will be of 4 lakh 32 thousand years.
It is told in the 24th verse of the 12th Skand of Shrimad Bhagwat Purana that when Guru, Sun and Moon will enter Pushya Nakshatra together, then Lord Kalki will incarnate. He will incarnate at the end of Kaliyug and the transition period of Satyayug.
According to the date of the tenth incarnation of Shri Hari mentioned in the Puranas, the Lord will be born on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month.
