Yes, Hanuman is still alive. Hanuman ji is one of the eight Rudra avatars of Lord Shiva. It is believed that Mahabali Hanuman ji was born on the day of Narak Chaturdashi i.e. Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi. Lord Rama established religion in Treta Yuga and went from Earth to his Lok Vaikunth, but gave the boon of immortality to Hanuman to protect religion. Due to this boon, Hanuman ji is still alive and is engaged in protecting the devotees of God and religion.
Evidences of Hanuman ji being alive keep coming from time to time which proves that Hanuman ji is still alive. The great saint poet of the 16th century Tulsidas ji got the darshan of Ram ji by the grace of Hanuman. The story is that Hanuman ji had told Tulsidas ji that Ram and Lakshman keep coming to Chitrakoot regularly. I will sit on the tree as a parrot, when Ram and Lakshman come, I will give you a signal.
As per Hanuman ji’s order, Tulsidas ji sat on the Chitrakoot Ghat and started applying sandalwood to all the visitors. When Ram and Lakshman came, Hanuman ji started singing ‘Chitrakoot ke ghat pai, bhai sant ke bhir. Tulsidas chandan ghise, tilak det Raghubir.’ On hearing these words of Hanuman, Tulsidas started looking at Lord Ram and Lakshman.’ In this way Tulsida got the darshan of Ram ji.
Impressed by the growing fame of Tulsidas, Akbar once called Tulsidas ji to his court. Akbar asked Tulsidas ji to show some miracle, which Tulsidas ji refused. Akbar got angry and put Tulsidas in jail. In the jail, Tulsidas ji started worshipping Hanuman.
A miracle happened that monkeys attacked Akbar’s palace. Akbar got scared due to the monkeys’ uproar. Akbar understood that Hanuman ji got angry because Tulsidas ji was put in jail. This is the reason for the monkeys’ uproar. Akbar apologized to Saint Tulsidas ji and released him from jail.
Before Tulsidas ji, Hanuman ji had met Pandu’s son Bhima in Treta Yuga before the Mahabharata war. On Bhima’s request, Hanuman ji had assured to help the Pandavas during the war. It is believed that during the Mahabharata war, Mahavir Hanuman was sitting holding the flag of Arjun’s chariot. Due to this reason, Arjun’s chariot did not move backward even with sharp arrows and the flag of Arjun’s chariot kept waving during the entire war.
The scriptures believe that wherever Ram Katha is told, Hanuman ji is definitely present there. Therefore, to get the blessings of Hanuman, devotion to Shri Ram is necessary. Hanuman always protects those who are devotees of Ram.

According to Valmiki Ramayana, when Ravana kidnapped Mother Sita, Hanuman ji reached Lanka to help Lord Shri Ram in finding Mother Sita. He saw Mother Sita in Ashok Vatika in Lanka. Then Hanuman ji met Mother Sita and he gave Mother Sita the ring of Lord Shri Ram and assured her that she should not worry because very soon Lord Shri Ram will come to Lanka to take her back. Now Sita ji was convinced that Hanuman ji is the messenger of Shri Ram who has come to Lanka in search of Mother Sita to help Shri Ram.
Seeing Hanuman ji’s love for her master Shri Ram, Mother Sita was pleased and gave him the boon of immortality and said that he should always keep removing the troubles of all Ram devotees in this way.
