According to Srijanpal Singh, who was with him and supported him in his last days, Dr Kalam had a habit of sleeping in the car, but he did not sleep that day.
Dr Kalam, who had gone to deliver a lecture at IIM Shillong, got a heart attack as soon as he went on stage and spoke a few words. Then he was rushed to the hospital, and as soon as he reached the hospital, Dr Kalam died.
